This a super late post, but I'm posting it anyway. The Dubai Flea Market, which happens at every 1st Saturday of the month at Al Safa Park, was the bazaar I was talking about in my last post. We were lucky to have caught the bazaar while we were still in Dubai.
There were a LOT of people and it was really hot, but if you're patient enough, you'll get some really good (and cheap) finds. All the things sold here are second hand, and are sold by foreigners (not Dubai locals). I didn't get to buy clothes, but I did get to buy tons of books and these really awesome pair of boots which look like Doc Martens- and they're unused! It was the first thing that caught my eye the second I started walking through the market. It was really cheap too- 10 dirhams. *insert happy crying emoji here*
We arrived at the park at about 10-11am, but it wasn't early enough- there were no parking spaces available, and we were forced to park it over the sidewalk. Good thing we didn't get a ticket. Hehe.
We had a picnic at the park, right under a shaded tree. A few minutes after eating lunch and one last look through the bazaar, we left. If it wasn't so hot we would've stayed longer, but believe me- it was sizzling hot in there.
Say hi to Addy, my
It was a really fun experience, and it made me more fond of thrift shops and flea markets. Thrift shops are awesome.
Well, yeah. That is all. Lots of love.
